Mayday Institute of Health Sciences and Technology (MIHEST) is a new institution registered by National Council for Technical and Vocational Education Training (NACTVET) with registration number REG/HAS/242 in order to provide training, applied research and consultancy activities in the discipline of Health and Allied Sciences with collaboration of Ministry of Health (MOH).

To be the leading Institute of Health Sciences in terms of academic excellence and innovations in Tanzania.

To provide teaching, learning and research responsive to Regional and National needs.

The goals of MIHEST are:

• To utilize unswervingly the updated and approved curricula that addresses current community needs.

• To provide state of art infrastructure that supports teaching, learning and research for students and staff by 2026.

• To continually improve teaching skills through capacity building of trainers.

• To continually build up close collaboration with stakeholders in the improvement of the performance of health sector.
